Plant the Idea

I have always been deeply interested in art as a visual language because of the possibilities for it to be both precise and subtle. It is a direct communication between the creator and observer where the artwork is the bridge. I always intend to question the observer through my artwork so that they are likely to come upon the idea I wish to convey on their own.

At my college, I was trained as an artist and my success with art has made me confident about my future in design. During my journey in art, I have also realized that to be a great artist is not only about talent, one must also have an appropriate method to develop talented ideas into great final results. As an example, during a recent challenging experience in a printmaking class, when my original idea was not fulfilled, after many attempts, I have started to realize that I needed to be methodical about chasing my artistic inspiration. Inspiration, like the engine of a car, is fundamental to a designer, but methods, like the wheels that spin, will help an artist present his ideas thoroughly and precisely.
